Parking situation complicated with limited spaces!!! Room size cramped for anything longer than a night!!! Noise from the street disrupted sleep on weekends!!! I suggest soundproofing for rooms facing the front!!!

The en-suite single room offered both coziness and immaculate cleanliness, which was a welcome comfort during chilly nights. Staff assistance was commendable, especially their effort to provide helpful tips about local attractions. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring copious amounts of freshly prepared dishes. the lack of available parking posed a minor inconvenience, as did the absence of a view from the room. a memorable experience in a prime location.

perfect spot to explore bowness and enjoy park views
I had a fantastic stay with an exceptionally helpful staff that went out of their way to accommodate me, and the hotel's ideal position put me just a short walk from beautiful Bowness Bay and the charming World of Beatrix Potter attraction, making city strolls incredibly easy and enjoyable. plus, as a solo traveler, I found the cozy and clean single room quite perfect for my needs. the only minor drawback was that the room was a bit on the small side, but it was more than adequate for a short stay.

Great Value with Some Drawbacks
Enjoyed a cozy night in a comfy double room with beautiful views. The friendly staff and delicious breakfast made our stay memorable. Just be prepared for steep stairs and limited water availability in the morning. A perfect stay for adventurous couples, but soundproofing could improve.

Had a lovely time enjoying a drink by the fire and relaxing in the covered outdoor area. The only downside was the wifi upstairs that wasn't working, but the staff were on it and making improvements. If you’re after a cozy spot with good ales, this place is definitely worth a visit! 🍻

A superb lake view room offered a charming glimpse of the scenery, complete with clean linens and decent facilities for making tea or coffee. The presence of a heated, umbrella-covered outdoor area created a nice spot to relax with a drink and enjoy the atmosphere.
The layout and design of the building posed significant mobility challenges, particularly with the steep inclines and narrow stairwells leading to the guest rooms, making it less suitable for those with limited mobility. The parking situation can be convoluted, as finding a spot is tricky with limited spaces—careful maneuvering is a must. the rooms can be quite cramped, resulting in little space to move around or store belongings comfortably.

The room was really comfortable and clean, with a nice big double bed. The kettle and tea/coffee supplies were a nice touch. I had a good night's sleep, but it was a bit noisy since it's above a pub. The bathroom door was tricky, but they fixed it quickly. a solid setup for the price.
